National Equine Forum announces 19 sponsors for 2026 event

The National Equine Forum has secured support from 19 sponsors for its 2026 edition, set to convene in London on March 5. This annual gathering unites policymakers, industry leaders, and welfare groups to tackle key issues in the equine sector. The event relies on such backing to foster collaboration and informed debate.

The National Equine Forum (NEF), recognized as the UK's premier independent equestrian conference, will return on March 5, 2026, in London. Organized by a volunteer committee as a not-for-profit initiative, NEF26 aims to address pressing challenges and opportunities in equine health, welfare, and industry development. With over 600 delegates anticipated—either attending in person or via livestream—the forum will feature discussions on topics such as pre-purchase examinations, technological advancements, and the Sir Colin Spedding Memorial Lecture and Award.

Sponsorship plays a crucial role in sustaining the event's high standards. Gold-level backers include established names like Blue Cross, The British Horse Society, Equine Register, The Horse Trust, and World Horse Welfare, joined by newcomer Hartpury University. Silver sponsors encompass British Equestrian, the British Equine Veterinary Association, the British Horseracing Authority, the Horserace Betting Levy Board, The Mare and Foal Sanctuary, and the RSPCA. At the bronze level are the British Equestrian Trade Association, The Donkey Sanctuary, Redwings Horse Sanctuary, SEIB Insurance Brokers, and Weatherbys e-Passport, with The Saddlers’ Company as a fresh addition.

Tim Brigstocke, chair of the NEF organizing committee, emphasized the sponsors' importance: “We are extremely grateful for the support shown by both our long-standing and new sponsors. Their investment allows us to continue delivering what has become a highly regarded fixture on the equestrian calendar, not only across the UK but internationally.”

Iain Heaton, deputy chief executive of Blue Cross, highlighted the forum's value amid sector pressures: “The National Equine Forum is an essential platform for uniting stakeholders across the equine sector to drive meaningful, collective solutions. As one of the UK’s leading equine welfare charities, Blue Cross supported more than 1,200 horses and their owners in 2025.”

Other supporters echoed this sentiment. Stewart Everett, chief executive of Equine Register, noted opportunities for debate on agreements like the Sanitary and Phytosanitary pact with the EU. Catherine Porter from Hartpury University praised it as a hub for educational exchange focused on welfare, while Philip Napier OBE of The Saddlers’ Company aligned the sponsorship with goals in saddlery standards and collaboration.

Limited sponsorship slots remain available, with in-person tickets on sale and free livestream registration open.
