A fresh indoor padel venue has launched in a business park close to Andover, featuring three courts along with amenities for players and spectators. Pik Padel, situated in Units 4 and 5, began operations on January 24 after months of preparation. The site aims to foster both competitive play and casual visits.
The opening of Pik Padel marks a welcome addition to local sports facilities in the Grateley area. Located in Units 4 and 5 of Grateley Business Park, the venue provides three indoor padel courts, a lounge, a bar, and a café. It caters to enthusiasts with racket rentals, ball sales, private coaching sessions, and group lessons.
In a Facebook announcement, the team shared their enthusiasm: “After a long time coming and a lot of hard work behind the scenes, we’re finally ready to open our doors. We’re excited to finally welcome you in, show you what we’ve been working on, and start this next chapter. The wait is over, we can’t wait to see you.”
Operating hours are set from 7am to 10pm on Sundays through Thursdays, extending to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Additional features include free parking, changing rooms, showers, and toilets, making it convenient for visitors.
The development faced initial public concerns when plans were submitted in April, primarily over potential noise issues. Despite this opposition, the project has proceeded, emphasizing an inclusive environment. As another post noted: “Get ready to play, compete, and enjoy padel at its best - or simply drop in, relax, and enjoy a drink with friends. Everyone’s welcome, on and off the court.”
This new spot highlights growing interest in padel, a sport blending tennis and squash, in the region around Andover.
