Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang wrapped up his South Korea visit on June 9, emphasizing broader AI ecosystem cooperation. The trip produced multiyear partnerships with SK hynix and Samsung Electronics, plus discussions on physical AI.
Huang showcased a strategy centered on AI factories and physical AI during his five-day visit. SK hynix signed a multiyear partnership to jointly develop next-generation memory technologies for AI factories, including Nvidia's Vera Rubin platform. SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won said the work will shape the future of AI infrastructure. Samsung Electronics memory chief Jun Young-hyun said he discussed long-term cooperation on HBM4E and HBM5 technologies with Huang. Science Minister Bae Kyung-hoon met Huang on June 8 and reaffirmed delivery of 260,000 GPUs agreed at last year's APEC meeting. Naver announced plans to expand its Gak Sejong data center starting with 55 megawatts of capacity. Hyundai Motor Group discussed its 9 trillion-won Saemangeum project, which Huang called an AI Valley.
