Racing comedy “Pegasus 3” earned RMB77.7 million ($10.9 million) during its fourth weekend of release from March 13 to 15, maintaining the number one position, according to Artisan Gateway data. Produced by PMF Pictures and directed by Han Han, the film stars Shen Teng as veteran racer Zhang Chi, who leads an underdog national team in the Muchen 100 Rally. Its cumulative total now stands at $596.8 million since debut. “Blades of the Guardians” took second place with $5.8 million for the weekend, bringing its running total to $190.3 million. This martial arts epic, produced by Peace Film Production and directed by Yuen Woo-ping, adapts a popular manhua and follows mercenary Dao Ma escorting a fugitive across the Western Regions to Chang’an. Zhang Yimou’s “Scare Out” placed third, adding $4.3 million to reach $182.1 million overall. Produced by Damai Entertainment, the espionage thriller features Jackson Yee and Zhu Yilong as agents intercepting a spy ring. Sony’s animated sports comedy “GOAT” opened in fourth with $3.1 million. “Boonie Bears: The Hidden Protector,” the 12th in its franchise from Fantawild Animation, rounded out the top five at $2.5 million for the weekend and $146.1 million cumulative. The film involves Briar, Bramble, and Vick safeguarding a magical creature called the “Nian” from exploitation. Mainland China’s weekend box office totaled $33.5 million, with year-to-date revenue at $1.58 billion, a 52.9% decline from the same period in 2025.
