Pixies announce reissues of Bossanova and Trompe Le Monde

Pixies have announced reissues of their albums Bossanova and Trompe Le Monde, including four previously unreleased tracks. The Boston indie band is marking its 40th anniversary this year.

The reissues feature remastered versions of the 1990 album Bossanova and the 1991 release Trompe Le Monde. They were handled by Kevin Vanbergen, who created new Dolby Atmos mixes and high-resolution masters from the band's tape archive. Four new tracks will appear for the first time: Go Man Go, Brackish Boy, Punk Loop, and an alternate version of Dig For Fire recorded by Steve Albini in late 1987. Go Man Go was written by Black Francis and Kim Deal during sessions for both Bossanova and The Breeders' Last Splash. The albums will be available on CD, digital platforms, standard black vinyl, and limited-edition colored vinyl packages. Each includes a 7-inch single with the bonus tracks. Pixies are currently on a UK and European tour, with upcoming dates in Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands. They are also scheduled for a headline show at On The Mount at Wasing later this month and festival appearances at Bearded Theory, NOS Alive, and Mad Cool.
