The PlayStation NBA Creator Cup aims to fuse basketball competition with digital culture, showcasing a revamped four-level game format in a high-energy 5v5 matchup. Scheduled for Friday, December 12, 2025, at 8 p.m. PT, the event will take place at T-Mobile Arena and stream live across the NBA App, NBA YouTube, and NBA Facebook.
This year's lineup includes influential creators such as YPK Raye, known for hoops and humor; Cam Wilder, blending on-court skills with comedy; Carson Roney, a former college standout mixing basketball and lifestyle content; Kristopher London, a 6-foot-11 YouTube star; JDub, offering hoops and vlogs; Chris Staples, a world-class dunker and former Harlem Globetrotter; Marcelas Howard, the 'Backyard Legend'; Drifty Jay, famous for park takeovers and challenges; Pika, a speedy 5'3" guard focused on basketball and gaming; Bree Green, a trick-shot specialist with Globetrotter experience; Meka, combining comedy and skill; Caleb Nash Feemster, a TikTok trick-shot artist; and Tyy2.0 (Ty Jackson), an explosive 5'4" dunker with a 51.5-inch vertical.
Strictly Bball’s Joe Doerrer will call the action, with Da Kid Gowie as arena host. Special appearances include trainer Lethal Shooter and entertainer SeanDoesMagic.
The game structure features three eight-minute levels followed by an untimed target-score finish: Level 1 is classic 5v5 basketball; Level 2 adds a two-minute bonus period with increased pace and scoring; Level 3 allows fans to vote for one boosted player per team via NBA ID; and Level 4 races to a target score of +11 from the leader. Rules incorporate the G League’s One Free Throw and a fifth-foul bonus, resetting per level.
Fans will engage through player intro tunnels, halftime interactions, creator stand visits, contests, and the Dap Challenge Handshake Contest, emphasizing community involvement.
