President Prabowo Subianto affirmed that the government will study and act on various public aspirations, including those submitted through social media such as TikTok.
Prabowo made the remarks while closing the Sarasehan Kebangsaan Konvensi Sains, Teknologi, dan Industri Indonesia in Jakarta on Sunday. He promised to review every proposal one by one, whether from professors or ordinary citizens.
"Not to mention suggestions from professors, suggestions from a child in a village that reach me directly via TikTok or social media, I will immediately follow up," Prabowo said, according to a statement from the Badan Komunikasi Pemerintah.
Prabowo also stressed the importance of government openness in facing difficulties and using technology to respond to public issues more quickly, while noting the risks of improper technology use.
