Prime Video has released the first official trailer for its upcoming Spider-Noir series, starring Nicolas Cage as 1930s private eye Ben Reilly. Building on prior teasers, it highlights supernatural action ahead of the May 25 MGM+ debut and May 27 Prime Video premiere.
In the trailer, Nicolas Cage's Ben Reilly—a down-on-his-luck detective reckoning with his past as New York's superhero—delivers the line: 'Every mystery forms a complex web. But pull the right strand, and it's a straight line to the answer.' He faces supernatural threats amid tabloid screams like 'Monsters Attack Cops!' and swings to safety via webs after a skyscraper plunge. Inspired by Marvel's Spider-Man Noir comics (separate from Cage's Into the Spider-Verse voice role), the eight-episode series offers 'Authentic Black & White' or 'True-Hue Full Color' viewing modes. Lamorne Morris portrays journalist Robbie Robertson, Li Jun Li is nightclub singer Cat Hardy, and Karen Rodriguez plays Reilly's secretary Janet. Co-showrunners Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot helm the Sony Pictures Television production, outside the MCU. This follows earlier trailers shared via Rotten Tomatoes and Nicolas Cage, plus the CCXP villain reveal.
