Redeban launches SoundBox for businesses in Colombia

Redeban presented SoundBox, a datáfono that integrates multiple electronic payments with instant confirmation. The tool targets small businesses and operates on a monthly subscription.

Redeban launched SoundBox as a solution for small businesses to accept payments with cards, dynamic QR codes, Bre-B and digital wallets. The device records each transaction in real time and issues visual and sound alerts to indicate if the payment was approved.

The service costs 8,950 pesos per month plus VAT, with no minimum billing requirements. It includes generation of dynamic QR codes per operation to increase security.

Andrés Felipe Duque, executive president of Redeban, stated that the goal is to make digital payments as simple as cash. The company seeks to facilitate adoption of these tools in neighborhood stores and similar businesses.

According to data from the Banco de la República, 62.5 percent of micro and small businesses receive less than half of their sales through electronic means, indicating room to expand these solutions.
