The Hindu Group has been named Champion Publisher of the Year 2026 by WAN-IFRA for the third time after securing seven awards at the Digital Media Awards South Asia 2026.

The Hindu Group topped the awards with seven wins at the WAN-IFRA Digital Media Awards South Asia 2026. The group received gold awards for Bihar SIR in the Best AI-driven News Product category and for Young World Club in the Best News Website or App Relaunch category.

It also earned a silver for Written by Journalists in the Best in Countering Disinformation category. Bronze awards went to Made of Chennai for Best Marketing Campaign for a News Brand, The Hindu Explains for Best Newsletter, and We Went Middle East, Talked INR, and Found Gold! for Best Reader Revenue.

Frontline magazine added a bronze for Mission Manipur in the Best Use of Audio category. CEO L.V. Navaneeth accepted the Champion Publisher award at the Digital Media India 2026 Conference in Delhi. He said the recognition reflects the group's commitment to journalistic excellence and ethics.
