The second edition of The Oberoi Concours d’Elegance wrapped up at The Oberoi Udaivilas in Udaipur after three days celebrating classic automobiles and India’s motoring heritage. The event featured a new Tour d’Elegance drive along Fateh Sagar Lake and drew global collectors, historians, and members of India’s erstwhile royalty. Partners including BMW and Rolls-Royce showcased iconic vehicles, highlighting the blend of tradition and innovation.

The Oberoi Concours d’Elegance 2026, held against the backdrop of Lake Pichola at The Oberoi Udaivilas, brought together historians, global collectors, designers, and connoisseurs to honor automotive excellence. Curated by automotive historian Manvendra Singh, the event spanned eras and geographies with classes such as Indian Heritage Motor Racing, Indian Coachbuilt in period and modern era, Cars of the Maharajahs – Jodhpur, and Pre-War Classics – Rolls-Royce. A special retrospective traced a century of Rolls-Royce Phantoms, emphasizing India’s ties to the marque.

A key highlight was the debut of The Oberoi Tour d’Elegance, where vintage cars drove along Fateh Sagar Lake, presenting them as dynamic machines rather than static displays. The jury, led by Chief Judge Sandra Button of Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, included experts like Sir Jackie Stewart, Sir Michael Kadoorie, Giacomo Agostini, Jean Todt, and Derek Bell. Simon Kidston served as the event’s voice, and artist Tim Layzell created the official poster.

BMW, partnering for the second year via BMW Group Classic, displayed the BMW 507 Roadster and BMW 3.0 CSL, following last year’s BMW 328 parade lead. Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO of BMW Group India, stated, “Our partnership with the Oberoi Concours d’Elegance 2026 celebrates the link between automotive heritage and the future.”

Rolls-Royce made its inaugural appearance with the Black Badge Spectre, the world’s first ultra-luxury electric super coupé. Irene Nikkein, Regional Director Asia-Pacific for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, noted, “India occupies a unique and highly meaningful place in the story of Rolls-Royce – past, present and future.” The event marked India as Rolls-Royce’s highest growth market in Asia-Pacific for 2025, with four years of double-digit growth.

Rolex acted as Official Timekeeper, while Thomas Goode provided fine tableware. Couturier Tarun Tahiliani showcased designs inspired by India Modern. Attendees included H.H. Maharaja Gaj Singhji of Jodhpur, H.H. Maharaja Himanshu Kumarsinhji of Gondal, and others, underscoring royal patronage of motoring culture.

Arjun Oberoi, Executive Chairman of The Oberoi Group, said, “The Oberoi Concours d’Elegance reflects our enduring commitment to preserving heritage.” Manvendra Singh added, “India remains a remarkable repository of automotive history.” Sandra Button commented, “The quality of the automobiles and the respect for authenticity make it a meaningful gathering.”
