Utah's Division of Child and Family Services has filed a petition in juvenile court regarding Taylor Frankie Paul's three children. The filing seeks a finding that the children are abused, neglected or dependent and requests protective supervision.
The petition was submitted this week by the Utah Attorney General's Office on behalf of DCFS. It asks the court to take jurisdiction over the children of the "Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" star and her ex-husband Tate Paul along with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen. The agency also wants an expedited hearing plus appointment of a guardian ad litem.
Court documents reference the family's prior history with DCFS and ongoing custody matters. The filing comes months after photographs showed Tate Paul and Dakota Mortensen at a Utah courthouse in March seeking separate protective orders against Taylor.
Taylor's legal representatives stated the custody actions were moved to juvenile court as a common step for contentious cases. They added that Taylor welcomes the oversight and remains committed to becoming the healthiest version of herself while appreciating DCFS professionalism.
