Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced receiving investment proposals worth approximately ₹1 lakh crore for the state during his Singapore visit. Out of these, MoUs worth ₹60 thousand crore have been signed. This investment will serve as a milestone towards making the state a 1 trillion dollar economy by 2029-30.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is on a visit to Singapore aimed at making Uttar Pradesh a 1 trillion dollar economy by 2029-30. He stated that Team UP has received investment proposals worth approximately ₹1 lakh crore in Singapore, out of which MoUs worth ₹60 thousand crore have already been concluded by Invest UP.

While interacting with media personnel, the Chief Minister said, “The world today has become completely transparent. Investors are aware of every activity taking place in Uttar Pradesh. This is the reason why the state has received such significant investment in a short period of time.” He mentioned that a large delegation has accompanied him on the visit to Singapore and Japan. After reaching Singapore, meetings continued from 8:30 am until late at night, and programs continued from early morning on the second day as well.

Over the past two days, he met more than 100 representatives. He held positive and meaningful discussions with the President, Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, Home Minister, and Energy Minister of Singapore. In addition, meetings were held with chairpersons and CEOs of major fintech companies. Several companies are already investing in India and Uttar Pradesh, including in the Ganga Expressway, which is being developed as the country’s longest expressway.

The Chief Minister noted a 360-degree positive transformation in investors’ perception towards Uttar Pradesh. The delegation visited highly advanced facilities, studying Singapore’s expertise for developing cargo facilities and MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhauling) in association with the soon-to-be-operational Noida International Airport at Jewar. Currently, many aircraft from India and across the world come to Singapore for MRO work, and such a facility can be developed at Jewar. Investors have made serious preparations on this subject and are ready to proceed with Uttar Pradesh.

The delegation also visited Singapore’s world-class skilling centre (ITE). The Chief Minister expressed pleasure that Uttar Pradesh’s initiative to convert scale into skilling in every district and link it to employment through the Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment Zone follows a similar model. He hopes this program will advance further in collaboration with this centre.

The Chief Minister appreciated Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna, Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’, and all members and officials of the delegation for their active engagement in continuous meetings. He expressed special gratitude to the Indian High Commissioner and his team for effectively presenting Uttar Pradesh’s potential in sectors such as trade, technology, tourism, logistics, infrastructure, data centre, semiconductor, MRO, and skilling.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the investment agreements signed and proposals received in Singapore will accelerate Uttar Pradesh’s progress towards the 1 trillion dollar economy target. This is a government press release and not part of editorial content.
