On the afternoon of Thursday, October 30, 2025, police were called to the emergency room in Lund around 3 PM. Two men—a teenage boy and a man in his 20s—had sought treatment for serious injuries caused by a sharp or stabbing implement, reportedly possibly a knife.

According to Region Skåne, the man has life-threatening injuries, while the boy is being treated for serious wounds. The injured were brought to the hospital by a private individual in a car. Police cordoned off an area in the Norra Fäladen district, specifically on Magistratsvägen, to search for evidence. The cordon was lifted later around 9:30 PM.

The incident is classified as attempted murder. No one has been arrested or detained in the case. Police spokesperson Patric Fors stated: "They have come to the hospital and sought care for injuries that we suspect were inflicted by a sharp or stabbing implement." He added that police have gathered witness statements but could not comment on the number of people involved or the exact location of the incident, as the preliminary investigation is sensitive.

Fors emphasized: "We have no indications that the public in Lund needs to be worried." Police have initially spoken to both injured parties and are on site to clarify what happened.
