Brazil's Fiocruz, through its Farmanguinhos unit, has begun fully domestic production of tacrolimus, an immunosuppressant to prevent organ transplant rejection. The milestone stems from a Product Development Partnership (PDP) with Brazilian firm Libbs, which acquired manufacturing technology from India's Biocon.
