Modders from Team Clown have launched the first demo of Half-Life: Lemmings, a modification for Half-Life Source that allows players to rescue scientists and guards. The demo covers roughly half the game, from the 'Unforeseen Consequences' chapter to 'Apprehension,' with 45 NPCs available to save. NPCs gain new abilities, including combat support and improved movement.

Erik Wolpaw, writer for Half-Life and Portal, revealed that a small team at Valve is experimenting with AI tools for generating text and audio in games. He dismissed concerns over AI replacing creative writing but highlighted its potential for dynamic character responses to player actions. Wolpaw emphasized that this is not a company-wide effort.
