The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros women's basketball team defeated the New Orleans Privateers 87-81 in an overtime thriller on December 29, 2025, in Edinburg, Texas. Brialle Washington of the Privateers scored a career-high 26 points, pushing the game to extra time. The victory marked the start of UTRGV's three-game homestand.
