Aaron Ramsey searches for lost dog in Mexico

Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey, star signing for Pumas UNAM, is dealing with an injury and the disappearance of his dog Halo at a Mexican shelter. He accuses the facility of negligence and offers a $20,000 reward for information. His absence from the pitch stems from both physical issues and this personal search.

Aaron Ramsey joined Pumas UNAM in July as the club's star signing, which hasn't won a championship since 2011. However, his experience in Mexican football has been challenging. He debuted on August 24 against Puebla, played minutes against Atlas where he scored his only goal, and had his first start against Mazatlán before suffering another hamstring injury.

During the Liga MX break for Eliminatorias, Ramsey left his beagle dog Halo at the Hipsterrier shelter in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, about 270 kilometers from Mexico City. Upon returning, the pet was missing. The player accuses the facility of negligence, as there are no camera recordings, trackers, or sightings.

Through his social media, Ramsey has shared his distress. 'Please help us find Halo. (...) All information is valuable, help us get her back to her family', he posted initially. Later, he lashed out at the shelter: 'We've remained silent. Silence, trying to understand how you can leave your dog at a ranch and never see her again. Without any explanation? Cameras weren't recording, no tracker found her, no sighting, no body and a bunch of lies. We just want to say goodbye and move on. How can we move on if we don't know if she's alive or dead?'.

He first offered a $10,000 reward, which he increased to $20,000 a week later. The Hipsterrier shelter has issued no statement. These events have kept Ramsey away from the pitch, combining his physical issues with this personal crisis.
