AIK signs Viktor Lennartsson as new forward

AIK has added forward Viktor Lennartsson to its roster. The 32-year-old joins from Mora with a reputation as one of the league's top agitators.

Viktor Tuurala, the head coach, highlighted Lennartsson's value in a recent interview. "He is top three in the league on what he is good at. A really intense, feisty player who is annoying to face," Tuurala said.

Lennartsson, who previously played for BIK Karlskoga and Mora, described his move as reluctant. "Innerst inne ville jag inte lämna," he told Hockeynews, noting the emotional support from fans after the transfer.

The player has trained this summer with NHL talents including Joel Eriksson Ek. He called Eriksson Ek "ett odjur" while praising Leo Carlsson's humility despite a major new contract.

Lennartsson expressed excitement about representing AIK at Hovet Arena. "Att spela för AIK som förening, det tycker jag är stort," he said.
