Apple Arcade releases eight new games led by NBA 2K25 edition

Apple Arcade has introduced eight new titles to its subscription service, with NBA 2K25 Arcade Edition from 2K Games taking the spotlight. This addition brings fresh mobile experiences ranging from sports simulations to casual management sims. The games launch on October 3, expanding options for iOS and other Apple device users.

Apple Arcade, Apple's gaming subscription platform, announced eight new additions on September 9, 2024, as reported by HardwareZone. Leading the pack is NBA 2K25 Arcade Edition, which introduces The Neighbourhood—a mobile hub for streetball activities. Players can explore courts, engage in 1-on-1 challenges with friends, or join 3-on-3 matches via Game Center. This marks a significant mobile debut for the NBA 2K series, set for release on October 3.

Strategy enthusiasts will find Balatro+, a deck-building roguelike developed by LocalThunk. It blends poker mechanics with a synthwave aesthetic, where users build potent hands and deploy joker cards featuring unique powers to defeat foes.

For relaxed gameplay, Food Truck Pup+ allows managing a crepe operation staffed by dog characters, while Furistas Cat Cafe+ focuses on running a feline-themed cafe with customization options. These titles appeal to animal lovers seeking lighthearted simulations.

Sports fans get NFL Retro Bowl '25, delivering retro-style American football and becoming the first NFL-licensed title on the service. Puzzle Sculpt provides spatial challenges, though its appeal may be tied to Apple Vision Pro compatibility. Finally, Smash Hit+ offers a straightforward experience of shattering glass barriers through swipes, ideal for short sessions.

The service costs S$9.98 monthly, with a one-month free trial, or three months free for new device buyers. It is also bundled in Apple One plans starting at S$23.95.
