Five retired military personnel and notary Allan de Jesús Corona Romero, whose office is in Chicoloapan, were handed over to the Public Ministry of the Special Affairs Prosecutor's Office of the State of Mexico's General Justice Prosecutor's Office (FGJEM) in Toluca. The arrests followed an incident at the State of Mexico Legal Counselor's facilities on Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla street in central Toluca. Sources indicate the notary arrived aggressively demanding the reinstatement of his suspended license, escorted by the armed ex-military. State of Mexico Security Secretariat agents intervened, leading to detentions for resistance and weapons possession regarding the ex-military, and due to an Oaxacan arrest warrant against the notary for alleged involvement in the 2023 killing of notary public 113, José Ortiz Girón. Despite a federal injunction blocking the warrant's execution initially, Corona Romero's license remains suspended. The Public Ministry will decide their legal status this Thursday. Relatives of one ex-military detainee, such as Raquel, the wife of one, protested outside the Hidalgo Avenue prosecutor's office over lack of information and partially blocked a lane with trucks.
