Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft have announced Super Limit Breaking NEO, a major paid expansion for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, arriving this summer. The DLC adds over 30 new fighters, customization options, stages, and a single-player mode. A free update will also enhance the battle system.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, the 2024 arena fighter and spiritual successor to the Budokai Tenkaichi series, is receiving substantial new content. Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Spike Chunsoft revealed the Super Limit Breaking NEO DLC, set for release in summer 2026. The expansion responds to fan requests for more fighter variety beyond multiple Vegeta variants, introducing over 30 newcomers including Super 17, Bardock (Super Saiyan), Champa, Vegeta (GT), General Blue, and Mighty Mask. Several characters mark their debut in the Budokai Tenkaichi series. The DLC emphasizes customization with more than 20 new options for costumes and skills, enabling players to craft unique battle styles or recreate scenes from Dragon Ball shows and movies. It includes four new stages such as Kami's Palace and the pink Kame House. A new Limit Breaker Journey mode offers branching scenarios, fights, events, character training through battles, unique rewards, and progress that carries over to online play. Accompanying the paid DLC is a free update that reworks the battle system for faster, more brutal combat. New features include Chain Blasts, where allies provide assists, and enhancements to the Sparking! Boost bar for additional attack buffs.
