Battlefield 6 update to add contracts system in June

Battlefield Studios has detailed the final phase of Battlefield 6 Season 3, set to launch on 30 June with new mechanics and balance changes.

The third phase, called High-Value Target, will arrive with a major patch and introduce the Wet Work event. This event brings a contract-focused mode to both standard multiplayer and the Redsec free-to-play section.

Contracts will drop from eliminated players and trigger mid-match objectives such as eliminating enemies or capturing points. The system draws comparison to the Field Orders feature from Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Additional updates include a new event menu for tracking challenges and adjustments to gunplay and vehicles. Gun handling tweaks will cover recoil and bullet velocity while vehicle changes affect smoke effects and automated anti-air defenses.

A Mark All Seen button will also be added to reduce notification markers across menus.
