Pittsburgh Steelers beat writer Ray Fittipaldo believes the team's offense under new coordinator Mike McCarthy has a chance to average 26 to 27 points per game this season.
Fittipaldo made the comments on 93.7 The Fan. He said the unit profiles to be better than last year's group that averaged 23.4 points.
He outlined benchmarks for success. Those include finishing top 15 in yards and top 12 or better in points scored.
The last time the Steelers reached 26 points per game came in the 2020 season. McCarthy previously produced top-five scoring offenses with the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys.
