The Mahagathbandhan includes RJD, Congress, CPI, CPI(ML) Liberation, CPI(M), and Vikassheel Insaan Party. The Jan Suraaj Party is making its electoral debut. In Munger, Jan Suraaj's Sanjay Singh defected to BJP, endorsing NDA candidate Kumar Pranay.
