Brandy will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on March 30, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. PT on 6201 Hollywood Boulevard. Issa Rae and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds will speak at the ceremony, emceed by Sibley Scoles.
The ceremony for Brandy's star, the 2,839th on the Walk of Fame, will be streamed live from the site. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce administers the attraction for the City of Los Angeles, which has drawn millions of visitors since 1960. Brandy is receiving the honor in the recording category, reflecting her music achievements including two No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and three on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. She has four top 10 albums on the Billboard 200, all reaching the top three. Her collaboration with Monica on “The Boy Is Mine” in 1998 topped the Hot 100 for 13 weeks, setting a record for the longest-running No. 1 by a duo of female artists, and earned her sole Grammy win for best R&B performance by a duo or group with vocal from 13 nominations. Babyface, who received his star in 2013, wrote “Sittin’ Up in My Room” for Brandy, which hit No. 2 on both the Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts from the 1995 Waiting to Exhale soundtrack. Brandy has also acted, starring in the UPN sitcom Moesha from 1996 to 2001 and as Cinderella in the 1997 TV film Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella alongside Whitney Houston. Earlier this year, on January 29, she was saluted at the Recording Academy Honors Presented by the Black Music Collective at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles, alongside Pharrell Williams and Kirk Franklin. Ana Martinez, producer for the Walk of Fame, stated: “Brandy has captivated audiences for decades with a voice and artistry that helped shape modern R&B and inspire generations of performers.
