Brighton have completed the signing of central defender Luka Vuskovic from Tottenham Hotspur. The 19-year-old Croatia international has agreed a five-year contract with an option for a sixth year at the Amex Stadium. The fee could rise to £50 million.
The move marks the second transfer between the clubs this summer. Last month, Netherlands defender Jan Paul van Hecke joined Tottenham from Brighton for £52 million.
Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler said the club had followed Vuskovic closely. “Luka has enjoyed a fantastic start to his career – it’s one we’ve followed closely,” Hurzeler told the club’s official website. He added that the player would need time to adjust to the Premier League.
Vuskovic began his career at Hajduk Split and made his senior debut two days after turning 16. He joined Tottenham in 2025 after loan spells and spent last season at Hamburg, where he was named Bundesliga Rookie of the Year.
