BTS Butter music video surpasses 1.1 billion YouTube views

BTS's music video for "Butter" has reached 1.1 billion views on YouTube. The milestone makes it the group's seventh video to achieve the mark.

On July 27 at around 2 a.m. KST the video crossed the threshold. It joins earlier hits including "DNA," "Boy With Luv," "Dynamite," "MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)," "IDOL," and "Fake Love."

The clip was first released on May 21, 2021 at 1 p.m. KST. Reaching the new view count took just over five years, two months, and five days.

The achievement adds to BTS's record of major streaming successes on the platform.
