Buddy Matthews has been cleared to return to in-ring action after more than a year away. The AEW star suffered an ankle injury in February 2025.

Buddy Matthews has been out of action since February 2025. He sustained the injury during a match against Kazuchika Okada at AEW Grand Slam Australia.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Matthews received medical clearance. Matthews posted on Instagram this week: “The Devil signed the clearance. Hell stamped its approval. No more barriers. Only timing.”

His return date has not been announced. All In London is scheduled for just over a month from now.
