Casa del Niño foundation holds successful charity chocolate event

The Fundación Casa del Niño Ismael Perdomo held its traditional charity chocolate event on May 25 to raise funds. The gathering brought together benefactors and the community in Neiva.

The foundation, established in November 1972, organized the activity to support children facing abandonment, maltreatment and displacement. Maricela Castro Rayo, the institution's president, led the event alongside the board of directors.

Benefactors, friends and neighbors took part and contributed generously. The gathering featured moments of integration and solidarity, backed by prominent figures from Huila society.

Allies included the Cámara de Comercio del Huila, Unicentro, Chocolate Tolimax and several local collaborators. The foundation expressed gratitude for the support and called for continued donations to sustain its social work.
