Critical Role appoints Alyssa Zeisler as Beacon's general manager

Critical Role has named Alyssa Zeisler as the new general manager of its Beacon streaming platform. The veteran digital media executive brings expertise in product development and subscriptions from her previous role at Hallmark Media. Zeisler aims to position Beacon as a leading direct-to-consumer hub for tabletop role-playing game content.

Critical Role, the media entertainment studio known for its tabletop role-playing game streams, announced the appointment of Alyssa Zeisler as general manager of Beacon on February 25, 2026. Beacon serves as the company's streaming platform and membership program, hosting actual-play series such as the ongoing Campaign 4 led by Brennan Lee Mulligan and upcoming projects like Draw Your Weapons.

Zeisler, who previously served as vice president of product at Hallmark Media, helped launch the Hallmark+ membership platform. In her new role, she will oversee product roadmaps, content and platform strategy, and efforts to build Beacon into a community hub and creator-led ecosystem for Critical Role and broader TTRPG content.

"My goal for Beacon is to make it the gold standard for direct-to-consumer platforms," Zeisler said in an official press release. "It’s a place where we can experiment with new formats in the TTRPG space while creating a seamless experience for fans. We’re building the blueprint for how a community-led brand transitions into a sustainable, global media company, and I’m excited to be at the helm as we evolve this ecosystem into something truly industry-defining."

This appointment aligns with Critical Role's expansion, which includes its tabletop publishing arm Darrington Press—developer of the Daggerheart RPG—two animated series on Prime Video, and a partnership with Ad Hoc Studio on the superhero game Dispatch. Zeisler's strategy focuses on fostering a fan-first membership experience to support the company's long-term growth as a media brand.
