Dune Awakening coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in September

Dune Awakening will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on September 22. The survival MMO will also add a dedicated single-player mode on that date across all platforms. The game will lack crossplay between most platforms.

The announcement occurred during Sony's State of Play livestream. A post on the official Dune Awakening website confirmed the console release dates and detailed the single-player mode as one of the most requested features. Console versions will include all prior PC updates and align fully with the existing game. Crossplay will remain unavailable between different console platforms or between PC and consoles, except for Xbox and the Windows PC Store. In single-player mode, players will encounter NPCs in a private world. The PvP Deep Desert area will not reset weekly, buildings will persist, and the Landsraad system will simulate other players. Single-player characters stay locked to their instances. The first major story arc concludes on September 22, allowing console players to experience the full narrative. Funcom previously limited crossplay in Conan Exiles.
