Duval Timothy and Carlos Niño announce joint album Rain Music

Pianist Duval Timothy and percussionist Carlos Niño have collaborated on a new album called Rain Music. The record is due for release on May 22 through their own labels Carrying Colour and CNF.

The project began with a live session featuring Timothy’s prepared piano and Niño’s percussion at a studio in south London. The pair later continued the work remotely from their homes in London and California, with Niño recruiting additional musicians including Navy Blue, Laraaji, Nate Mercereau, double bassist Michael Alvidrez, saxophonist Darius Jones, and woodwind player Aaron Shaw.
