Egypt voices deep concern over developments in Sudan

Egypt has expressed deep concern over the recent developments in the brotherly Republic of Sudan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for all possible measures to achieve an immediate humanitarian truce across Sudan. It also reaffirmed Egypt's commitment to supporting Sudan in overcoming its current crisis.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, October 28, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates expressed deep concern over the recent developments in the brotherly Republic of Sudan. The ministry called for all possible measures to be taken to achieve an immediate humanitarian truce across Sudan, leading to a permanent ceasefire that preserves civilian lives, safeguards their livelihoods, and protects the country's resources.

The statement reaffirmed Egypt's continued commitment to providing all possible support to help Sudan overcome its current crisis. It also reiterated Egypt's firm position in support of Sudan's sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, as well as its national institutions, while rejecting any attempts to divide the country or undermine its unity and territorial cohesion.

This statement comes amid ongoing tensions in Sudan, where Egypt, as a neighboring country, seeks to promote regional stability. (MENA)
