Eminem stars in new Hitman World of Assassination mission

IO Interactive announced a new Elusive Target mission for Hitman World of Assassination during the Xbox Partner Preview, featuring rapper Eminem teaming up with Agent 47 to eliminate his alter ego Slim Shady. The free mission launches on December 1, 2025, across all platforms, alongside a paid cosmetic pack. Set in a reconfigured Hokkaido facility turned asylum, it includes psychological twists and rapper references.

Announcement Details

The mission was revealed on November 20, 2025, during the Xbox Partner Preview showcase, highlighting third-party partner updates. IO Interactive described the content as a collaboration where Eminem acts as a fellow operative, similar to previous celebrity appearances like Bruce Lee and Jean-Claude Van Damme. Players will navigate the chaotic Popsomp Hills Asylum, a medical facility in Hokkaido repurposed with erratic performances and weaponized music by Slim Shady.

Mission and Pack Information

In the storyline, the younger Slim Shady has become a separate violent entity, prompting Eminem to enlist Agent 47 to 'untangle the twisted mind of Slim Shady.' The free Elusive Target mission becomes available starting December 1, 2025, on Xbox Series X/S, PC via Xbox, Steam, and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. Accompanying it is the Eminem vs Slim Shady Pack, priced at £3.99 and available from December 1 to 31, 2025, offering various cosmetics for players.

This addition follows recent Elusive Targets like Bond villain Le Chiffre, expanding the ongoing stealth action game's roster of high-profile cameos. The Xbox Wire recap noted the mission's unique concept, with Agent 47 hunting Slim Shady at Eminem's request to prevent his creation from turning against him.
