Addis Ababa, Hidar 4, 2018 (Fana) – The Ethiopian Air Force's chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Yilma Merdasa, stated that it has a glorious history in defending national sovereignty. On its 90th anniversary, he held a discussion with Adama town residents.
“The Air Force is a national aviation institution that has overcome many challenges. It has a glorious history in defending national sovereignty... The anniversary is being observed to make our people aware of the Air Force's full readiness and to appreciate its built capacity,” said Lt. Gen. Yilma.
The community was urged to celebrate the occasion together. Ato Haylu Gelda from Adama town said, “Our defense force is the guarantor of our country's peace and the mainstay of our people.”
The Adama town administration and residents confirmed to Fana Digital via the Defense Online Media that they will celebrate together. The 90th anniversary, under the theme 'Ethiopian Air Force: Symbol of Freedom and Unity,' includes an aviation expo, panel discussion, black panther flight demonstration, and various programs. The Adama town administration praised the force for its merit in achieving its goals.
