Fan team unveils impressive 60fps PC port of Zelda: Twilight Princess

A small volunteer team has showcased a near-complete native PC port of the GameCube version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, running smoothly at 60fps. Project lead Linifadomra uploaded the latest work-in-progress video to YouTube, highlighting keyboard and mouse support. The port, named Twilight Princess: Courage Reborn, remains unfinished but shows few major issues.

The project, spotted by PC Gamer, builds on a decompilation of the game mostly finished by late 2025. Linifadomra first shared a showcase on December 30, but the April 6 upload demonstrates significant progress. The build runs at a stable 60fps, unlike the original game and its Wii U HD remaster, which were capped at 30fps. It includes full keyboard and mouse controls and is described as completely crashless, with only minor cutscene glitches visible in the footage. Linifadomra noted the team is still recruiting more developers to finalize the work. Modders have already integrated Linkle, a female Link variant from Hyrule Warriors Legends, into the port. Users will need an ethically sourced ROM of the original GameCube Twilight Princess to play it upon release, similar to the Star Fox 64 PC port. The project avoids Nintendo's proprietary assets to minimize legal risks.
