Florida man charged with attempted murder after stabbing

Michael Jason Knight, 49, faces an attempted murder charge after allegedly stabbing another man in the arm at a Miami home. The incident occurred when the victim refused a request for money.

Deputies from the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office responded around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday to the Twin Lakes condominium complex in the 26000 block of SW 135 Ave. They found the victim bleeding profusely near the front door from a stab wound.

The victim told officers that Knight had come to the door asking for money. After being refused, Knight allegedly pulled out a knife and cut the victim's arm. Another person in the home took the knife and called 911. Officers recovered the weapon at the scene.

During an interview, Knight reportedly said "we were just kissing" before urinating on the table and floor. He was booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail without bond.
