Forest fire in Fällersta had a happy ending

A fire was discovered in the family’s forest at Martinsro Gård in Fällersta on Saturday evening. Thanks to a swift response from neighbors and rescue services the incident ended well.

It was the summer’s hottest day so far. Fredrik and Linda Martinsson were about to leave for dinner when the alarm came.

The fire at first felt like a catastrophe. Instead it became proof of how quickly a neighborhood and a strong rescue effort can work when every minute counts.

– We had so much on our side and they were incredibly professional, says Linda Martinsson.
