Jiwon of fromis_9 disclosed during a recent appearance on the YouTube series Workman that she received no earnings throughout her eight years as an idol under Pledis Entertainment.
The former HYBE girl group member explained that her first settlement payment arrived only recently. She is now beginning to save money for the first time.
Jiwon stated, “I had no income for eight years. I only received my first settlement recently, and I’m just now starting to save a little bit.” Her comments match an earlier 2024 live broadcast in which she expressed hope of receiving her initial settlement that year.
fromis_9 members departed Pledis Entertainment in 2024 once their contracts ended. The group has not released new material as a full unit and has not announced a disbandment.
