Grand Seiko and Rolex titanium watches compared in new showdown

A recent comparison pits the new Grand Seiko Ushio 300 against the Rolex Yacht-Master 42 in titanium.

The Grand Seiko Evolution 9 Spring Drive U.F.A. Ushio 300 features a 40.5mm titanium case, Zaratsu polishing and a Spring Drive movement rated at plus or minus 20 seconds per year. It carries a retail price of 12,500 euros and offers 300 meters of water resistance.

Grand Seiko has introduced two new Evolution 9 Spring Drive divers, the SLGB023 and SLGB025, featuring smaller 40.8mm cases and a new Ultra Fine Accuracy movement. The models address long-standing requests for more compact dive watches from the brand.

Tudor has released a new sapphire-blue version of its Black Bay 54 dive watch. The 37mm model features a matching blue bezel and draws from the brand's dive-watch heritage. It joins the lineup three years after the original's debut.
