Haeran Ryu captured the 2026 Evian Championship on Sunday, securing her second consecutive major title with a playoff victory over Brooke Henderson.
Ryu entered the final round with a three-shot lead after posting an 11-under 60 on Saturday, the lowest score in women's major history. She extended her advantage early before chaos ensued, with Henderson making an ace and multiple eagles to force a playoff alongside Aki Iwai.
Ryu and Henderson advanced after Iwai missed a putt on the 18th. In the playoff, Ryu birdied the hole to win after Henderson's chip fell short.
Ryu used a TaylorMade Qi4D LS driver, continuing the brand's streak of victories in every major this season. She described the win as unreal, noting her putting struggles and prayers on the course.
Henderson, who finished third at the Women's PGA three weeks earlier, praised her own play and expressed excitement about her game heading into future events.
