Miguel Ayala, son of singer Giovanny Ayala, and his manager were kidnapped on November 18 in the El Túnel rural area of Cajibío, Cauca. Authorities confirmed the incident and launched search operations. The area is known for the presence of illegal armed groups.

The Cauca Police Department confirmed the kidnapping of Miguel Ayala, son of popular music singer Giovanny Ayala, and his manager, which occurred on November 18, 2025, in the El Túnel rural area of Cajibío municipality. The incident was reported around 8:45 p.m., as the victims were traveling from Popayán to Alfonso Bonilla Aragón Airport in a private vehicle.

During the journey, they were intercepted by two vehicles and several armed individuals who forced them out of the car. The attackers headed north in the department, leaving the driver at the scene. The area where the kidnapping took place has a presence of illegal structures linked to the Jaime Martínez and Dagoberto Ramos fronts, armed groups responsible for multiple crimes in Colombia's southwestern region.

In immediate response, the National Police activated an investigative unit led by GAULA, a specialized team for kidnappings and extortions. This group is conducting search operations and intelligence tasks at strategic points in the department, focusing on the corridors between Cajibío and Piendamó, a mountainous area with difficult access. Authorities have called on the community to provide useful information, enabling the lines 317 896 5561 and the national 165 for GAULA, ensuring confidentiality.

The investigation is ongoing, with no lines of inquiry ruled out to clarify the facts and secure the release of the kidnapped individuals.
