Kalmar loses scorer Liam Hawel to Pelicans

Kalmar has lost another top scorer from its Hockeyallsvenskan roster. Liam Hawel has signed a one-year contract with Pelicans in the Finnish league after a strong season.

The 27-year-old Canadian forward recorded 45 points with 13 goals and 32 assists in 51 games for Kalmar. He finished second on the team in scoring behind George Diaco, who has also departed for Sport in Finland.
