Kelela releases Outta Time single featuring A.K. Paul

Kelela has released a new single called “Outta Time” from her upcoming album New Avatar. The track features guitar and vocals from A.K. Paul.

The New York-based singer-songwriter wrote the song originally for her 2017 album Take Me Apart. “I sat with that song for so long, and it's literally untouched,” she said in a statement. “I waited because I needed to build a house for this song that gives its sound more context.”

In the accompanying video, Kelela and Paul sing to each other in a studio as they confront the end of a strained relationship while night falls.

New Avatar is scheduled for release on July 10. It will be followed by Kelela’s first international tour since 2023.
