L’Art de L’Automobile and Salomon launch third footwear collaboration

Parisian label L’Art de L’Automobile and Salomon have unveiled their third collaborative capsule, drawing inspiration from Formula 1 aerodynamics. The collection features updated versions of the S/Lab Phantasm 3 racing shoe and ACS Pro sneaker. It launches on April 8 via L’Art de L’Automobile’s webstore.

Founded by Arthur Kar, L’Art de L’Automobile has partnered with Salomon to blend automotive culture with high-performance running footwear. The new capsule emphasizes aerodynamic mapping, akin to airflow around Formula 1 cars, to reduce drag and boost speed for runners much like marathon racers or single-seaters on the track. Both brands highlight the parallel between athletic performance and motorsport engineering in this release, marking a milestone in their ongoing collaboration. The S/Lab Phantasm 3 leads with its propulsive carbon plate and a new “shroud” outer layer that improves aerodynamics by up to 30% over prior models. The ACS Pro, originally a 2005 trail shoe, now sports bold color gradients mimicking airflow for a street-racing aesthetic while keeping Salomon’s technical ruggedness. A shared detail, the number “42,” nods to the marathon distance and honors the Paris Marathon. The rollout begins April 8, 2026, on L’Art de L’Automobile’s webstore, followed by April 11 availability at select Salomon boutiques in Paris, and a global release on April 14.
