Condotta received the fighting major in the Rocket's game against Toronto the previous night, April 18. As a result, he sat out Laval's rematch at Toronto later that day. The Laval Rocket, based in Quebec, compete in the AHL's North Division alongside the Toronto Marlies. Fighting majors remain a part of hockey enforcement, with leagues like the AHL using progressive suspensions to curb excessive physicality. This marks Condotta's first such suspension this season despite reaching the threshold.
