Wallmark nominated for Swiss playoff MVP after championship win

Lucas Wallmark has been nominated for the Swiss National League playoff MVP award after helping Fribourg-Gottéron claim its first title. The 30-year-old center is now returning to Björklöven.

Wallmark posted 14 points in 19 playoff games and scored the overtime winner in the decisive Game 7 final.

As previously reported, Wallmark has signed a six-year contract to rejoin his original club Björklöven in the SHL this fall, ending his stint in Switzerland after stints in the NHL and KHL.
