A man has died after falling from a balcony in Rinkeby in northwest Stockholm on Wednesday evening. Two people who were in the apartment have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police found a lifeless man outside an apartment building in Rinkeby around 8 pm. According to police the man had fallen several floors from a balcony.

– The person has fallen in a currently unclear manner, says Anna Lärk, police spokesperson. Two people have been arrested as we cannot rule out a crime at this stage.

Police were at the scene to check on a man at the address. The man then chose to run into the apartment and lock it. A short while later he was found lifeless on the ground. The man was taken to hospital by ambulance but was confirmed dead before departure.

A preliminary investigation into murder has been initiated. The apartment has been cordoned off for a technical examination. The alarm came at around 8:20 pm on Wednesday.
