Several men in Skåne have been sentenced to long prison terms after luring private individuals to invest in worthless shares.
A Malmö company raised over 24 million kronor from small savers in less than six months. The funds were used for gold, private accounts and luxury consumption.
The two key men were central figures in several companies that over five years persuaded private individuals in Skåne to invest in unlisted shares. Investigations showed the shares were worthless in most cases.
The court has now handed down harsh sentences to those involved.
